Job Opportunity – Metallurgical Technician

R-TECH Materials is offering an opportunity for a trained technician to join our talented, growing team. Our consultancy team specialises in plant integrity and failure analysis for the power, petrochemical and process industries, where we have a global client base, and a growing reputation. We also have a UKAS accredited test laboratory specialising in the testing of steel products for the construction industry, and composite materials across a wide range of engineering applications.

Due to the expansion of our plant integrity business, we are currently seeking to recruit a technician to join our growing team. The position would involve providing technician support for the investigative metallurgical services provided by the consultancy business and onsite inspection to support the plant integrity business.

The role would suit a candidate with a materials testing background, preferably with some experience in metallurgy and onsite work. The candidate must have a sound engineering background, strong communication skills, and be prepared to work flexibly, both in the UK and overseas as part of a dynamic and ambitious team.

The position will be based at our laboratory in Port Talbot, South Wales. A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
